Our vision and process
What problem does THRIVE address?
Many Americans feel a stifling combination of overwhelm and isolation. The thousands of daily “connections” that we have with one another via social media, email and text messaging, and other online platforms are scattered, shallow, and constant; this “noise” robs us of the focused attention that we need to move forward with intention and clarity in our personal and professional lives.
We are not receiving the feedback that we naturally crave from human connection, and we are losing our true sense of autonomy, belonging, and purpose.
How does THRIVE address this problem?
THRIVE offers a respite from this way of being, an opportunity for individuals and work teams to come together to make meaningful connections, learn new skills and content, and grow their capacity to achieve their vision.
We are an experienced and passionate team of teachers, artists, therapists, leaders, and innovators who design and facilitate immersive, no-tech workshops across a wide range of topics. Examples of the workshop topics that we've offered are:
Fostering more effective communication in personal and work relationships
Building aligned and collaborative work teams
Navigating career transitions
Growing your business idea
Helping leadership teams define metrics for success
Life skills for young adults
Men’s work
Resilience work
Gatherings for parents around topics such as navigating tech and supporting neurodiverse children
Exploring our place in nature through literature and writing
THRIVE uses an inquiry-based approach toward teaching and learning: participants bring their innate curiosity, wisdom, and strength, facilitators guide them toward asking questions, understanding context, and turning what they learn into clear, testables ideas. We strive to create environments in which participants feel supported by one another to push their edges so that they may learn and grow together.
As a result of their engagement with THRIVE’s offerings, participants come away with a greater sense of belonging (I am not alone), purpose (I am focused and I can do this), and possibility for the future.
